Auf Puts und andere Short-Möglichkeiten muss man als Retail-Investor normalerweise ein paar Tage oder Wochen ab IPO-Datum warten, die Volatilität dürfte zudem bei TWTR auch recht hoch sein.Aber sicher ein interessanter Short-Kandidat meiner Meinung wenn die Aktie bei ca. 50 USD oder noch höher notiert.Bei LNKD war das ähnlich 2011:

Traders can’t buy put options either, since the options market doesn’t get a crack at LNKD until next week, Estadt adds. Lots of predictions that shares won’t keep pace. “I’m not quite sure why people were so enamored to buy this stock on the open. I’m sure five days from now it won’t be trading at $87,” Tom Donino, partner and co-head of trading at First New York Securities said about two hours and another $20 in LNKD ago.

Ab Mitte November sollte es Optionen geben in den USA...

Assuming that all goes well with the IPO, the process begins. The exchanges and Options Clearing Corp (OCC) have a few items to verify before listing options. For example, the number of shares in float, the amount of stock traded (should reach that easily with the IPO), and a few other minor requirements.

On the 6th business day of stock trading (this includes Thursday the 7th so the 6th business day would be Thursday November 14th), if all the requirements are met, the CBOE (and other exchanges wishing to list options on TWTR) would be expected to petition the OCC to add TWTR options. The OCC would determine which Cycle (Jan-April, Feb-May or March-June), which strike prices would be listed and give approval to list options the following day, Friday November 15th. This approval and listing procedure has been around for many years and has worked pretty smoothly.

Will their be TWTR Weeklys or LEAPS® options available? Not right away, but if investors are looking for those products I’d think they could be added pretty quickly. Will there be 1-point strikes or 2.50 point strikes? I’m not sure, we will probably know the middle of next week.

LEAP Puts wären eventuell ein Thema, die kommen aber später. (Nur eben, solange LNKD und FB so hoch bewertet sind, wird TWTR wohl auch künstlich hoch gehalten...)
 
Optionen sind ab heute wie oben besprochen verfügbar, Spreads aber noch riesig...

Sehr schön, dann sind wir nun nun bedient mit dem 3x Short Faktor-Zertifikat auf Twitter (Symbol: TWEETS). Der Spread von gut 2% scheint mir auch fair zu sein, bedenkt man, dass die Aktie sehr volatil ist. Ich bin aber erstaunt, dass sich Twitter die letzten Tage relativ gut über 40 Dollar gehalten hat. Mein Bauchgefühl sagt mir aber, dass der Titel bald mal tauchen wird :)

 
TWTR jetzt bald bei 60 USD :dumm: Ich muss mir bald einen Short überlegen, aber der ganze Social Media-Sektor steigt momentan ein wildgewordener Luftballon (FB etc.), man muss geduldig sein. Wenn es so weiter geht ist TWTR (besonders mit den noch auszugebenden Aktien für Optionen etc.) bald so hoch bewertet wie FB im Sommer 2012 bei 18-20 USD...

 
hat jemand fundierte news warum twitter so abgeht?irgendwie kann ich die aktuelle stärke nicht so ganz nachvollziehen!mein tweets ist aktuell 50% im minus - mal schauen was die zukunft bringt!gruss

Mich haben schon die 60 erstaunt, selbst in einer Tech-Euphorie aus dem Rahmen fallend meiner Meinung...das IPO hätte ja ursprünglich bei unter 30 USD platziert werden sollen vor ein paar Wochen. Market Cap weit jenseits von 30 M USD, vor allem wegen zukünftiger Verwässerung.
Edit: Vielleicht war 60 USD das Ende der Fahnenstange kurzfristig, mehrere Downgrades und Fall auf 55 in 2 Tagen und dann wieder aufgefangen...

Edit 2: Ich gönnte mir eine kleine Short-Position um 57 USD. Die Aktie könnte aber noch weiter ansteigen im Hype, aufgepasst.

 
Überlege mir auch einen Einstieg in das Short Zerti TWEETS.Dieser Hype wird bald ein Ende haben ;)

 
meine Posi ist aktuell noch 40% im minushalte weiter daran fest (obwohl eigentlich der trend is your friend)

Mit all den neuen privaten Messengern wie Whatsapp etc. sehe ich bei halb-öffentlichen Netzwerken FB und TWTR eine Sättigung kommen in Zukunft, auch diese Messenger werden vor allem mobil genutzt, die Werbedollars können sich nicht unbeschränkt vermehren.Zum Beispiel hat Whatsapp im Vergleich zu TWTR bereits mehr aktive User - wenn auch die Messung leicht verschieden ist, monthly active users bei Whatsapp:

Ich warte mit einer zwiten Tranche für den Short-Einstieg, FB wie TWTR befinden sich in einem Aufwärtssog....macht wenig Sinn dagegen anzukämpfen. Wenn es so weiter geht, sehe ich TWTR bis 80-100 USD ansteigen, dann würde ich die zweite Tranche kaufen.Vielleicht bringen die nächsten Quartalszahlen die Leute zur Besinnung :greespan:
